Blackrock Beach House: Before + Afters, Part 2

You've gotten a chance to see all the before and after's for the main living areas (if you missed it, check that out here!) and now we are ready to show you the transformation of the bedrooms and bathrooms! The main focus in these areas of the home: comfort and design. We think we nailed it and so far, our guests have agreed! Phew.

First up, the master before + after . . .

The bedroom layout was already in a great spot. But, design-wise, it needed help! New carpet, paint, light fixtures and some cozy furniture fixed it right up! We got this black velvet bed from Wayfair, the nightstands are from Target, accent pillows are from Woven Nook, and the bedding is from Parachute! It might be the coziest spot to rest your head after a long day at the beach!

The master bathroom needed a taaaaaad more work! We retiled the shower with blue subway tiles from Bedrosians in a modern, vertical stacked format. We tore out the old, tiny vanity and replaced it with a great pre-fabricated piece, which we then customized with brass hardware and new faucets. We replaced all the fixtures (and toilet!) and put it a new luxurious soaking tub with an accent wainscot tiled wall behind it. Viola! The spa awaits you . . .

The guest bedrooms all got new carpet as well as new light fixtures, paint, and custom window treatments. The soft color palette throughout each bedroom allowed us to bring in fun, bold colors with the furniture and create unique spaces for each one. Check them out below!

The guest bathroom transformations were definitely one of our favorite parts of this renovation! We got to take dated, drab rooms and turn each one into their own statement room - definitely a little bolder than past projects we have done BUT we absolutely loved the challenge!

We don't even have a great before photo of the smaller bathroom because it felt SO small and almost un-photographable when we started (there were also no working lights in there!). The bathroom didn't even have a toilet, only a bidet! Yeah, you read that right. So we obviously scratched that, we added a European-style wall-mounted toilet, revamped the shower and added a more space-friendly sink. This small room now feels 10x bigger and actually usable!

Stay tuned for more on the #BlackrockBeachHouse - we still have some pretty yards to share with you guys!
