Ringing in the New Year with Vintage

Every December as January approaches, we all begin brainstorming our goals for the coming year - making resolutions, committing to healthier lifestyles, the classic "Out With the Old, in With the New" attitude. Don't get us wrong - we appreciate all things shiny and new as much as the next person - but lately, we've been loving using vintage pieces in our design and staging. These elements bring so much character and personality to the table, they're often way more cost-effective than buying new, and best of all, buying vintage is way better for the environment. In a business based around keeping up with current trends and styles, it can be tempting and sometimes necessary to buy new items, but this year one of our goals is to use a lot more vintage pieces in our work. This week, we've gathered some awesome inspiration to share along with some of our favorite vintage moments from our own projects! Take a look below and don't forget to leave a comment telling us what you think, and how you like to incorporate found pieces in your home!

Vintage pieces don't have to be the main piece of furniture in a room in order to make a big statement! We love using vintage art, light fixtures, and mixing in found furniture to complement new items.

Using items that have already had a long life gives so much soul to a room and adds an undeniable warmth that's hard to achieve in any other way. Whether it means refinishing existing parts of an old home or leaving certain fixtures intact (like that fireplace down below!), vintage and original elements make a home feel perfectly lived-in and cozy.

We hope everybody's New Year is off to a fantastic start and we want to wish everybody a happy, busy-in-a-good-way, kick-ass year filled with love and growth. We sure are looking forward to an exciting one and we hope you all are, too!
