Our Story
2017 was a big year for Katie and Olivia. They became sisters-in-law when Katie married Olivia’s brother, and work wives when they founded Hearth Homes Interiors together.
Hearth Homes Interiors is a full-service interior design firm based in Santa Barbara, specializing in high-end residential remodels, ground-up builds, and full-home furnishings. While we work on all types of homes, our passion lies in reimagining older ones, homes with quirks, charm, and stories to tell.
In 2023, Katie and Olivia also co-founded Hearth Hospitality Group, focused on the design and management of boutique hospitality properties. Their work has been featured in Sunset Magazine, Modern Luxury, RUE Magazine, and Santa Barbara Magazine, and one of their projects was named among the Best Hotels in Santa Barbara in the 2024 Sunset Magazine Travel Awards.

Our team of professional interior designers will be sourcing every item for your project, you don’t have to worry about a thing. Leveraging our years of experience and many vendor relationships, we source unique items unavailable to the general public, often at pricing discounted from retail.
Yes. Katie and Olivia are involved in every project and approve every design that goes out. Our hands-on approach means you have access to our talented team throughout the entire process, ensuring you end up with the home of your dreams.
This is a tough one, timelines vary based on the scope of work, the specific furniture chosen, and contractor schedules. If you’d like a better idea of the timeline for your specific project, reach out to us for a custom proposal.
We have our own Hearth Homes Interiors warehouse in Goleta, California. We personally receive, inspect, and assemble every item delivered, ensuring each piece is exactly as we envisioned before it’s ever delivered to your home.
We’ve done projects across the spectrum, from single rooms to full-home remodels. Our typical project has a total construction budget north of $200,000. For furnishing-only projects, we typically have a minimum spend of about $75,000.
