Mixing textures is a fun and easy way to create visual interest and variation throughout your home. By layering different textiles such as pillows, throws, and rugs, you can easily elevate and display your personal style with the freedom to readily switch things up!

On this bed, mud cloth pillows and quilted bedding create a nice juxtaposition of patterns and textures, producing a modern yet comfy aesthetic.

This is the perfect example of many textures working together! We especially love what the rug brings to the space, not only does it add a fun texture but it grounds the room as well as adds a stylistic element.

Pillows, throws, and rugs may be your first thought when you think of textures, but texture doesn't have to just come from textiles! There are plenty of other ways to add and mix textures with home accents such as dimensional art, beads, baskets, sculptural wood elements, and much more!
